Palantir is not our favorite company to negotiate with as they can claim some components are not negotiable (which is not true). Also, their increases are not as big as some other companies. Though, they can be flexible with the timeline and can give a one to two weeks extension on the offer.
Palantir does not have annual bonuses so if you are comparing a Palantir offer to a cross offer, you should keep this in my mind and calculate annual comp accordingly.
Palantir has stopped offering performance bonuses after they went public. The gain experienced by going public is supposed to make up for the difference.
Palantir equity refreshers exist and they can be generous, but you shouldn't count on them as they are only given out to high performers.
Palantir is not very remote friendly. Currently, they have a hybrid system but they plan on transitioning to full time in the office. Though, this is not to say that they don’t offer remote roles at all. They do but the majority are not remote.
Remote pay at Palantir is discounted on the basis of location.
As Palantir isn’t very remote friendly, if you are required to move then you should push for a $10k+ relocation bonus.
The most negotiable component of the offer is the Palantir equity package. The next most negotiable component is base and then sign on.

Usually, Palantir doesn't require written competing offers. That said, they might ask for other details.
Palantir usually has a range in mind for a candidate. They can go above that range but to do so, they must really like you as a candidate and you need to negotiate well.
Palantir hiring managers don’t have as much say over salary but it is still important to have a good relationship with your recruiter and hiring manager.
A typical hiring process at Palantir has four stages: recruiter screen, onsite interview, hiring manager (most places have an onsite as the last round but it is different at Palantir), and offer stage.
Note: if you are still in the interview stage and looking for resources, we have prepared a comprehensive interview preparation guide comparing various resources like LeetCode Premium, AlgoExpert, InterviewCake and HackerRank.
Let’s compare Google L4 salary and the salary of someone with the same skill set at Palantir. The base at Palantir ($180k/year) and Google ($180k/year) are pretty similar but the equity at Google is higher ($450k/year) as compared to Palantir ($380k/year). To add to that, Google has a 15% performance bonus and Palantir does not offer any performance bonuses.
Palantir’s benefits are pretty standard when compared to other tech companies. They have the usual health insurance, maternity and sick leave, 401k (they don’t match though).
